💎 By discovering the reality of other women entrepreneurs, in their plain truth or through the stories they tell, we can accept ourselves better and create other facets of ambition.

🍉 This series gives you a glimpse of who the women participating in Goldup are, as they have a great time travelling toward their dreams.

👋🏾Let’s meet Laëtitia Blanchet

✨ What was the spark that pushed you to sign up for Goldup?

When I heard about Goldup, I was right in the middle of questioning everything about my professional life (I had been in HR for a long time). I had just started working on my project, but I was totally unfamiliar with the world of entrepreneurship. I immediately felt like Alice took helping women to succeed as entrepreneurs to heart, and I really wanted to talk more with her. The conversation we had during the selection process was key to my deciding to join Goldup.

☝🏾Pitch your company in one line…

Cocon Fair Paris is a poetic, bohemian brand of eco-friendly baby clothes designed and made in France.

🙀 Biggest fear in doing this project?

Putting my heart and soul into a project and failing when I put it in front of my target audience. Goldup taught me to not be afraid, that I could be strong and confident.

💜 What’s the most satisfying thing in it?

The ability to create a business from A to Z, seeing and doing everything. I love the development that comes with becoming multi-skilled. I’ve learned as much in the past 4 months as I did during the whole rest of my professional life.

👩‍💻 Like what?

So I’ve been working with a specialized workshop on my prototypes, which I’ll have next week. Then I’m working with an embroidery studio to have things ready by the end of the month. All the decorations (ribbons, buttons, etc.) are made with recycled materials, all of the packaging is both recycled and compostable. I’ve got photoshoots set up for the end of August, and I’m working on a logo with my graphic designer. In September I’ll be out there telling my story and setting up my budget. I’m also looking at a recycling program for the clothes themselves (when the child grows out of an outfit, you can send it back and I’ll give a discount on the next order), working with specialists in clothes recycling.

🌟 One key moment “Wooow!” at Goldup?

The sense of helping each other that is generated every Saturday: every time that I’ve asked a question, someone is there for me, one of the other girls or one of the members of The Family. Plus we finish sessions with a big collective round of karaoke, to end the day laughing and feeling good!

🔦 What have you learned about yourself?

That I can trust myself, that I’m strong enough.
