Scaling GoMechanic 2.0
This is the journey of how we pushed the evolution and genesis of GoMechanic 2.0. In last 3 months, we have made various improvements to the core product both on the website and the Android app.
Website improvements
We renovated the website on React Redux and SSR. We have observed drastic improvement in page speed improvements and crawl-ability for the Google bot. Our old website was having non exitable popups.
Moreover, we have improved the user booking flow. It is now a single step checkout on the website (was earlier integrated on the app).
We have added lead enrichment to our car enquiry pages. Once a user fills in the car brand/model and mobile number. It redirects to a page asking for more info like type of service, preferred time of call back and email address.
Branch Journeys
We have added Branch Top Bar for Android mobile devices, applicable on all pages which gets organic traffic.
After Branch Bar integration, we were able to get around 1300+ installs, 400+ purchase and 161.5 k+ revenue (₹).
Near Me Pages
We have created service based pages; called Near Me pages. The intent of such pages is to get high ranking for search queries like car repair near me, car wash near me, car service near me etc.
This is the Google Trend report for the term service near me. The query GoMechanic has attained a Breakout which indicates that the search term grew by more than 5000% period-over-period.
Robots.txt
Because, We know not only Googlebot visits the Robots.txt file. We do respect humans too not only robots.

App Improvements
Earlier we had a cumbersome 4 step checkout procedure. We have reduced it to single step checkout to ensure there is no drop-off in conversions.

We have been constantly working on improving our Mar-Coms (Marketing Communication) and keeping it little quirky.
Social Media Influencers Mobilization
We have started our Influencer campaign for brand awareness, to increase traffic, and drive our brand’s message to our target audience. These are some of the examples of our campaign with Influencers, which were quite successful in terms of engagement.
YouTube Creator Mobilization
The Social Media in tandem with the Creative team pushed great efforts towards YouTube Creator mobilization. We collaborated with micro and macro influencers with a subscriber base ranging from 100,000 to 1 Million.
The primary objective behind this was to redirect traffic and prompt app downloads. Every creator has embedded a track-able link in the description box on YouTube.
