We have a title, not titles.

We no longer follow the norm, we have no reality, we shape our own world, we create our own reality.

GoMyCode — Tunis HackerSpace —

We are on the verge of our third session here at Go My Code, and as we are walking through it, one can’t help but see that our aim isn’t just to evolve, it’s more than that, much more.

Batman- The Dark Knight Of Gotham-

Our shared enthusiasm of computer science, programming, developing, creating, and teaching pushes us all to a point where our limits become some sort of a legend, and as Batman said “Some stand by their limits, some go above them, I on the other hand, choose to simply ignore them”.

Our vision became our drive, we now stand at the hill of Startups in Tunisia and possibly Africa, but what drives us changed a while ago it became more than just some technological aspect or a bright idea of achieving perfection when it comes to computer wizardly. Oh no, it became the love of learning, of sharing, of acting as leaders, becoming role models, creating an atmosphere that enables anyone and everyone to learn, and create their proper projects. We eventually realized that we became something different, we are no longer developers, we became those weird nerdy creatures that evolved just like pokèmons, and now we are like Mew. My point is, we are at the point where our sole care is to give everyone that walks through our doors, a life changing experience, something that will enable them to achieve their goals.

Pokémons — Mew is the pink one —
Hierarchy when it goes overboard

Now that we made that clear, let’s talk about the Titles. As any startup, everyone of us has a title, or titles in some case, but do we work according to them? Honestly, no we don’t, not because of the hierarchy or because it’s old fashioned, it’s actually the contrary. We believe that even though it is necessary for one to have a clear description in order to present themselves, we still do it all, not because we have to, but because we want to. We do have job descriptions, but they are derived from one class, from one title, and that is LEADERS. Our job is to help, guide, fix, teach, challenge, and push our students, team, and ourselves into a better version, the best version.

It became a lust, a feeling of uncontrollable desire, something that we look for everyday. It became our score, our hit, our drug, and everyday we think of something new, something different, something better. Everyday became an opportunity for us to challenge ourselves and achieve something better. We now stand somewhere better, but we aren’t at the best place and because of that we won’t stop, and we will never stop.
