A coup attempt

“There are but two parties now. Traitors and patriots. And I want hereafter to be ranked with the latter, and I trust, the stronger party.” — Ulysses S. Grant, 1861
After the President of the United States incited a violent mob to attack the U.S. Capitol building six blocks from where I live, people died and police were injured. The Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives voted 138–64 last night to support Trump’s treasonous lies even after he led an insurrection.
The most appropriate punishment for the 138 traitors (plus the 7 in the Senate), expulsion from the Congress like was done to the traitors who supported the Confederacy in 1861, seems unlikely to happen.
So it is up to the people to vote these clowns out of office or at the very least, never take seriously one word they say ever again.
