50,000th Tata Nexon rolls out from the production plant
Tata Motors rolls out the 50,000th sub-4-metre, sub-compact SUV, Nexon from it’s production plant in Ranjangaon. This is a new milestone reached by the carmaker after the car was launched by the Tata on 21st September, 2017.
Packed with a range of features like, Projector headlamps, DRLs, automatic climate control, AC vents at the rear and the Harman 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Nexon has set it’s eyes firmly in the Indian market. Dual front airbags and ABS with EBD are available as standard across all variants.
Also, the SUV was crash tested by Global NCAP recently achieving the highest adult safety score amongst all the models tested by Global NCAP in India, where it scored a 3-star rating for child occupant protection and 4-star rating for adult safety protection, and the structure of the SUV was also rated as ‘Stable’.
The SUV offers good protection to the driver and front passenger in the form of dual-frontal airbags and seatbelts with pre-tensioner, load-limiter & crash-locking tongue, but their knees are not being adequately protected. The safety agency reports that their knees could impact with dangerous layouts behind the dashboard.
