BMW 3-Series Facelift Launched; Priced at 35.90 Lakh

In what may come as a surprise, BMW India today launched the 2016 3 Series facelift in the country, which was expected to be launched at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The updated BMW 3-Series gets cosmetic changes featuring full LED headlamp clusters including indicators, LED fog lights and new LED daytime running lights along with the rear full LED units arranged in distinctive BMW ‘L’ shape. Also, the 17-inch alloy wheels now carry a different design from the previous generation.

The interiors of the car is more driver focused and now gets new materials, chrome highlights, high gloss surfaces, ambient lighting and electrically adjustable front seats. On the tech front, the BMW 3-Series facelift is updated with a Heads Up Display (HUD) unit with 3D graphics; Park Assistant feature that allows the sedan to parallel park automatically and the new Navigation system Professional GPS with an 8.8-inch high-resolution display available in Sports Line, Luxury Line and M Sport variants. Connectivity features include the BMW ConnectedDrive, BMW Apps, Radio Professional, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Colours available are Alpine White as non-metallic colour and Black Sapphire, Platinum Silver, Jatoba, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Melbourne Red, Mediterranean Blue and Estoril Blue as metallic colours.

BMW has also introduced M Sport package on the BMW 3-Series that adds the M aerodynamic package, M leather steering wheel and upholstered seats in an exclusive Estoril Blue metallic colour.

Powering the new 3-Series is the same BMW Twin Power Turbo 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engine churning out 190 HP while developing 400Nm of torque between 1750–2500rpm and is paired to a 8-speed Automatic Transmission.

The new 3 Series is now available for booking only for the Diesel variant with the Petrol offing launching later in 2016.
