#CarPalBestSellers2017– The 2017 Ford EcoSport
When Ford first launched the EcoSport in India back in 2012, little could we have imagined the impact the car would have on the Indian car market. Try as they did, no other car manufacturer came close to challenging the EcoSport’s popularity among Indian car buyers.
The 2017 Ford EcoSport has picked up the baton from its predecessor and improved upon an already great car by refreshing the exterior and packing it with features.
Here’s a closer look at the 2017 EcoSport:
Strengths:
1. Strong 1.5L diesel engine with usable torque
2. Host of features — cruise control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
3. Huge improvement in interior fit and finish, plastic quality when compared to the previous version
4. Spare part expenses brought under control with Ford’s new measures
5. Great resale value
Weaknesses:
1. Rear seat comfort and space might be tight
2. 6-speed Torque Converter unit for the petrol-automatic is a let down for the enthusiast
3. The new 1.5L 3-Cylinder ‘Dragon’ engine is not too impressive
4. Ford’s service network isn’t anywhere close to Honda/Hyundai
5. The new version doesn’t get the 1.0 Turbo Petrol ‘EcoBoost’ engine yet.
