Media reports suggest that Datsun plans to launch Redi-GO 1L & AMT variants on 19th July, 2017.
The hatchback was introduced with a 0.8L petrol last year and sells approximately at 2000 units per month. By introducing new variants, these figures are expected to be increased.
The car is based on the CMF-A platform, which is also used in the Kwid. We expect the Redi-GO to borrow the 1L, 3-cylinder SCe petrol engine from Renault. The engine churns 67 BHP @ 5500 rpm & 91 Nm of torque @ 4250 rpm and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The AMT option is also likely to be same one available in the Kwid. }
