Ford EcoSport S and EcoSport Singature Edition launched

Ford has introduced two new variants, the EcoSport S and EcoSport Signature Edition in India.

The EcoSport S brings back the 1.0L 3 cylinder turbo petrol Ecoboost engine back to the EcoSport range that is paired to a new 6 speed transmission while the 1.5L Diesel engine paired to a 5 speed transmission powers the Diesel variant.

The EcoSport S gets a sunroof, smoked HID headlamps with dark inserts and the fog lamp bezel, front grille, the roof and the roof-rails are now blacked, and gets smoked 17-inch alloys. The interior gets dual tone finish with orange accents on the seats, dashboard and the instrument panel to freshen up the feel of the cabin. Feature wise, the EcoSport S gets a bigger, a refreshed 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster which also features a Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) along with the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen. The EcoSport S gets 6 airbags on the safety front. Besides these changes, the EcoSport S gets stiffer suspension and quicker steering for more fun on the go.

The EcoSport Signature edition is available as an option based on the Titanium variant and it gets a sunroof, a different looking 17 inch alloy wheels, chrome inserts on the grille, black fog lamp bezels, a rear spoiler along with roof rails and a Signature Edition badging. The interior of the EcoSport Signature edition is all black with blue accents on the seat stitching along with the dashboard and the instrument panel. The Signature Edition gets electronic stability control and hill-start assist as well in addition to the existing features.

The Signature Edition comes with the same 123 HP 1.5L 3 cylinder petrol engine along with 5 speed manual transmission and a 100 HP 1.5L diesel engine with a 5 speed manual transmission.

The EcoSport S variant is priced at INR 11.37 lacs for the petrol variant while the diesel variant is priced at INR 11.89 lacs (both ex-showroom Delhi) while the EcoSport Signature Edition is priced at INR 10.40 lacs for the petrol version and INR 10.99 lacs for the diesel version (both ex-showroom Delhi).
