Ford India launches the 2015 Ford Figo Hatchback

Ford India launched the second generation of it’s entry level Ford Figo Hatchback yesterday with prices ranging from INR 4.3 Lakhs (Base trim Petrol) to INR 7.4 Lakhs (High trim Diesel).

The Figo hatchback shares its engine options with the recently launched the Ford Figo Aspire compact sedan. The options include a 1.2 L petrol engine with an output of 87 HP and 112 Nm of Torque, a 1.5 L petrol engine with an output of 110 HP and 136 Nm of torque and a 1.5L diesel engine with an output of 99 HP and 215 Nm of torque. The 1.5L petrol option comes exclusively mated to a 6 speed automatic dual clutch gearbox.

The hatchback measures 3886 mm in length, 1695 mm in width, 1525 mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 174 mm and get a 257 L boot.

The exteriors take all design cues from the Figo Aspire compact sedan except for the third box that the boot occupies. The hatch-sedan twins share the same interiors. Most features like Ford MyKey, Music systems, climate control, electrically adjusting and folding mirrors

Safety:

The hatchback gets driver airbag as standard across the trim levels with mid trims getting driver and co-driver airbags. The top end Titanium + comes loaded with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD. The petrol — automatic variant gets ESP and hill hold control.
