Hyundai Elite i20 CVT launched

Hyundai has silently introduced the Elite i20 CVT variants in India alongside the 2018 Creta.
The CVT comes in two variants — The Magna Executive CVT and the Asta CVT. Unlike the previous generation Elite i20 that had a 1.4L engine mated to a 4 speed Torque converter gearbox, the current i20 has a 1.2L engine mated to the 4 speed Torque converter transmission producing 82 HP. Other than the introduction of CVT there are no other changes to the model.
The CVT variants are expensive by INR 1 lac over their respective manual variants. The Magna Executive CVT is priced at INR 7.04 lacs while the Asta CVT is priced at INR 8.16 lacs (both ex-showroom Delhi & Chennai).
