Hyundai launches the 2018 Creta

Hyundai India launched the facelifted Creta in India. The new model comes with a bunch of exterior and interior upgrades.

New Passion Orange color

The exterior now gets a bold new cascading front grille surrounded with chrome frame and revised headlamps cluster with projectors lights, new redesigned thicker dual tone front bumper, new fog lamps housing with LED DRLs and a silver scuff plate, new wraparound tail lights and a new dual tone bumper. Dimension wise the Creta remains the same as the outgoing model. Other exterior changes include 17" Diamond Cut Alloys, Side Body Cladding, Shark Fin Antenna and Glossy ‘A’ Pillar finish.

On the interior, the Creta gets soft touch paint, leatherette finish on the door, steering and seats. The dashboard design and layout largely remains unchanged. The Creta gets Electric Sunroof, 6-way Power Driver Seats, Cruise control, Smart Key with push Button Start, Fully Automatic Climate Control, Sliding front armrest, Driver seat height adjustment as standard, Rear AC vents and 60:40 split rear Seats.

Interiors

Tech wise, the 2018 Creta gets a new 7 inch Touchscreen infotainment system with IPS Display and Capacitive Touch along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link smartphone connectivity and comes with integrated App based navigation, audio streaming and smartphone apps. It also comes with Smart Key band with inbuilt fitness tracker, Wireless Phone Charger, AutoLink Connected Car Technology to monitor health of the car & other information like driving information, road side assistance, driving history.

ABS & EBD and Dual Airbags are standard across all variants. The top-end SX (O) variant gets curtain airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM). Other safety features include Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Electrochromic Mirror, Front Seatbelts with Pretensioners, Auto Door Lock, rear parking assist with camera, Static Bending Lights, and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors.

The new Creta retains the same engine options as before, a 1.4L Diesel engine with a 6 speed transmission producing 90 HP, 1.6L Petrol engine with a 6 speed transmission producing 123 HP and the 1.6L Diesel engine with a 6 speed transmission producing 128 HP. The 1.6L Petrol and diesel engines get the option of a six-speed torque-converter automatic. Hyundai claims that this Creta has better fuel efficiency than the outgoing model.

The New 2018 Creta is available with 7 Exterior single tone colour options — Polar White, Passion Orange, Phantom Black, Sleek Silver, Marina Blue, Star Dust and Red Passion, and 2 Dual tone colour options — White with Black, and Passion Orange with Black.
