Land Rover launches new Discovery Sport in India

Land Rover has launched the 2018 Discovery Sport in India at a starting price of Rs. 42.48 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The British luxury car maker has refreshed it’s entry-level SUV and equipped it with a range of advanced technology features including a Wi-Fi Hotspot and Pro Services applications.

The Wi-Fi Hotspot uses a custom made SIM to provide on-the-go 4G access for upto eight devices. The Pro Services feature builds on the existing InControl Apps feature and comprises of a route planner app (available as a download from the Apple Store or Google Play), a commute mode that learns familiar routes and displays relevant information and a sharing ETA feature that shares the expected time of arrival (ETA) with selected contacts via SMS.

Under the hood, the new Discovery Sport is powered by a 2.0 Litre Ingenium Diesel engine producing 147HP and 382Nm of torque in the Pure, SE and HSE variants and 177HP and 430Nm of torque in the HSE Luxury variant. The petrol option is no longer available as in the previous iteration of the SUV.

The 2018 Discovery Sport will be available in two seating configurations, as a 5-seater in the Pure variant and as a 7-seater in the SE, HSE and HSE Luxury variants.
