Mahindra TUV300 launched at INR 6.9 Lakhs. Higher trims gets AMT too.

Mahindra and Mahindra launched the much awaited SUV — the TUV 300 at it’s facility in Chakan earlier today. The TUV 300 competes directly with Renault’ Duster, Nissan’s Terrano and the Ford’s Ecosport.

Calling it a ‘true-blue SUV’ with a compact size under 4m in length, Mahindra has priced the vehicle reasonably starting at INR 6.90 Lakhs to INR 9.12 Lakhs (both ExShowroom — Pune). Mahindra did mention that these are introductory prices that are soon to be revised.

The TUV 300 comes in a total of 7 variants — T4, T4+, T6, T6+, T6 AMT, T8 and T8 AMT. Essentials like Air Conditioners, power steering, tilt steering, power windows and engine immobilizers are standard across variants. The ‘+’ variants in the T4 and T6 trims get ABS and Dual stage Driver and Co-Driver Airbags. Top end enjoys a host of features with the inclusion of static bending lamps, Brake energy regeneration, reverse assist, steering mounted controls, voice messaging and micro-hybrid technology.

The vehicle gets equipped with a mHawk 80 engine churning out 84 HP (non-AMT) and 81 HP (AMT) with 230 Nm of torque. The AMT system was designed in association with Ricardo, UK.
