Mahindra XUV300 launched in India

Mahindra’s compact SUV, the Mahindra XUV300 has been launched at a starting price of INR 7.90 lacs. The XUV300 has been introduced by company as a rival to the Ecosport, Vitara Brezza, Nexon and WR-V. The XUV300 replaces the Quanto, the age old product in the company’s line up.

The XUV300 is available in 2 engine options, a 1.2 L 4 cylinder turbo charged petrol engine producing 110 HP and 200 Nm of torque and a 1.5 L turbo charged diesel engine producing 115 HP and 300 Nm of Torque. Both the engine are mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. Mahindra is likely to bring an AMT transmission at a later time.

The XUV300 is available in 4 variants — W4, W6, W8 and a range topping W8 (O). The Ssangyong Tivoli based compact SUV measures 3995 mm in length, 1821 mm in width and 1627 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2600 mm and ground clearance of 180 mm. It gets a 42-litre fuel tank and a 265 L boot space. The XUV300 has ARAI certified fuel economy of 17 kmpl for the petrol engine and 20 kmpl for the diesel engine.

At the front it features a rectangular grille with chrome inserts similar to the XUV500 and flanked by wraparound headlamps, integrated inverted L shaped LED DRLs and fog lamps on both sides. The front bumper houses a hexagonal air dam and a silver skid plate, while a pair of fog lamps are placed on either side. At the rear, it has wraparound LED tail lamps and a dual tone bumper with a silver insert.

Features on the Mahindra XUV300 include best-in-segment equipment list that includes dual-zone climate control, heated ORVMs, front and rear parking sensors, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), electric sunroof, 3 modes multi function leather steering wheel, cruise control, engine start-stop button, auto dimming IRVM, heated ORVMs, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto headlights on, rain sensing wipers, roof rails and dual-tone alloy wheels. On the safety front it gets ABS with EBD & BA, 7 airbags, cornering brake control, ESP with dynamic steering torque, roll-over mitigation, traction control, hill start assist & ISOFIX child safety seat anchors.

The XUV300 is available in 6 colors — Red Rage, Aqua Marine, Sunburst Orange, Pearl White, Napoli Black, D-Sat Silver & 2 dual tone color options (available only on W8 (O)) — Dual Tone White roof on Red Rage and Aqua Marine.
