The german automaker Mercedes Benz launched the 2017 facelift of CLA sedans on November 30 in India. The prospective sedan of the company’s portfolio comes with reworked bumper in the front ,having a fresh set of smoked LED headlamps and diamond grille standard across all the trims with chrome lined at the bottom. The carved rear bumper comes with a dab of changes that includes the taillamps and chrome tipped exhaust. Five spoked alloys have been replaced with multispoke alloys mimicking the CLA 45 AMG. Overall the new CLA manages to maintain its luscious look proving to be a predecessor of the sophisticated CLS.

There are mild changes to the interior which comes with an upgraded instrument cluster and 8” infotainment display which the Mercedes claims it to be more ‘slimmer’. It also offers improved smartphone connectivity with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood we have the same 2.0L petrol engine delivering 181bhp with 300 Nm of torque. Even the diesel variant comes with the same 2.2L which churns out 134bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to 7 speed automatic gearbox transmitting power to the front wheels.

The top of the line diesel variant 200d sport is priced at 34.68L while the bottom trim 200d style at 33.68L. The petrol variant is quoted at 33.68L. All prices Ex-showroom at Mumbai.
