Mercedes-Benz India rolls out 1,00,000th vehicle

Mercedes-Benz has rolled out the 100000th car from its Chakan Plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The milestone car is a long wheel base E-Class that is produced in India.

Established in 1994, Mercedes-Benz India started making vehicles from 1995. The first car to roll out was the W124 E-Class from the Pimpri plant in 1995. The 20000th car was later achieved in 2008 followed by reaching 30000 cars in 2010 after shifting to the Chakan plant, Pune. The 50000th car was rolled out in 2014 with the current milestone of 100000 cars in May 2018 taking the company almost 24 years to reach it. Mercedes-Benz India also boasts of the largest spare parts ware house in India.

Mercedes-Benz India currently offers the A- Class, B-Class, C-Class, CLA, CLS, C-Class Cabriolet, E-Class, GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS, S-Class, S-Class Coupe, S-Class Cabriolet, Maybach S 560, Maybach S 650 and Maybach S 600 Guard as well the AMG range which are impored in to India.
