Mercedes-Benz launches GLC Celebration Edition

The Mercedes GLC Celebration Edition has been launched in the country with 2 variants — 220d is priced at Rs. 50.86 lakh and the GLC 300 at Rs. 51.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This Special Edition has been launched to mark India’s 70th Independence anniversary.

The front bumper, faux air vents and the tail gate get chrome trim. Gloss black ORVM housings and LED logo projectors on exit lamps are standard. A new colour option has also been introduced — Designo Hyacinth Red. The SUV is equipped with Garmin navigation system and the sports pedals on the inside get a stainless steel finish.

No mechanical changes have been made to the SUV. It will be powered by the same 1991cc, 4-cylinder, tubocharged petrol unit churning out 241 BHP @ 5500 rpm & 370 Nm of torque @ 1300–4000rpm and the 2143cc diesel engine that churns out 168 BHP @ 3000–4200 rpm & 400 Nm of torque @ 1400–2800 rpm. Transmission duty will be handled by a 9-speed automatic.
