New Swift and Dzire being recalled over faulty Airbag Controller Unit

Maruti Suzuki has announced a voluntary recall for the New Swift and the Dzire over a possible faulty Airbag Controller Unit. As per reports, the faulty Airbag Control Unit may not alert the owners like it should, which in emergency cases, might become dangerous.

The company reveals that a total of 1279 vehicles, manufactured between 7th May 2018 and 5th July 2018 will be covered in this recall campaign. This includes 566 New Swifts and 713 Dzires.

The owners of the vehicles will be contacted by the dealers for the inspection & replacement of the faulty ACU, free of cost.
