Our #CarPalCarOfTheWeek is all about grand gestures. In a world where diamonds are expected on wedding rings, it’s only natural to expect standard dual airbags and ABS with EBD, but this car goes way beyond. Offering the maximum number of features, this car is inconceivable value for money.

While it may not be a driver’s car, it certainly does play its cards well. Being provided with the 1.2L engine, a city-friendly gearbox, captivating interiors and a very well designed exterior, we had no two thoughts in choosing this as our #CarPalCarOfTheWeek.

PS: Please tell me you’ve guessed the car already.

Our #CarPalCarOfTheWeek is the Hyundai Grand i10

Getting Deeper

What is cool:

  1. Refinement levels of the 1.2L Kappa petrol engine make you feel like you’re in a library.
  2. Interior space management is great and optimised well.
  3. A good set of features to keep things interesting.
  4. Rear AC vents for rear seat occupants is a huge plus.
  5. Transmission feels great in city traffic.

What’s not cool:

  1. May not be very inspiring if you are a driving enthusiast.
  2. Fuel economy isn’t as promising as the Marutis.
  3. Facelift vehicle still avoids fuel economy and range calculations in the Multi-Info Display
  4. The diesel engine is not worthy of a consideration
  5. 4-speed Auto is not competitive enough.
