Performance variants for Tata Tiago & Tigor

Tata Motors have made a 50–50 partnership with Jayem Automotive to develop and manufacture street-legal performance vehicles based on the current Tata line-up. The Tigor & Tiago are the first cars to gain performance variants.

These performance variants are expected to be petrol versions which could come with a 1.2L 3-cylinder Revotron unit. The expected power output could be rated at a maximum of 95 HP which will be raised to 110 HP by JT Special Vehicles with the help of a turbocharger.

Apart from the upgraded engine, this variant will also have firmer suspension setups & lowered ground clearance for greater stability at high speeds and around the corners. The exterior & interior features of the variant will include spoiler, sportier grille, bumpers with larger intakes, larger alloy wheels, sportier seats and interior finishing.

These two performance variants will roll out from the Jayem Automotives facility in Coimbatore.
