Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2019 Ignis in India with small updates aimed at meeting the safety upcoming regulations.

The outgoing Ignis had dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors as standard across the range. In addition to those, it now gets Reverse Parking Sensor, Co-Driver Seat Belt Reminder and High Speed Alert System as standard across all variants. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis complies with front offset, side impact and pedestrian safety crash regulations. The only change to the exterior is that the Ignis now gets Roof Rails on the Zeta and Aplha variants giving it a sporty look. Maruti has also increased the prices slightly with this.

The Ignis continues to be powered by the existing 1.2 L 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 82 HP and 113 Nm of torque mated to a 5 speed manual or 5 speed AMT gearbox.

Delta AMT — INR 5.87 lacs

Zeta — INR 5.82 lacs
