Skoda Kodiaq launched in India
Skoda has launched its flagship SUV in the country at a price of INR 34,49,501 (ex-showroom pan-India).
The Kodiaq is available in only one fully loaded variant in a 3-row 7 seat configuration. The car measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height with a ground clearance of 188 mm. Fuel tank capacity is at 63 Litres. The Kodiaq has a luggage capacity of 270 litres which goes up to 2,065 litres with the rear seats folded down. The engine option is a 2.0 TDI turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine producing 148 HP and 340 Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and a 4 wheel drive system. The car returns a fuel economy of 16.25 kmpl.
On the exterior, the front features full LED Headlights with integrated DRLs, LED Fog lamps, chrome grille with vertical slats, chrome window lining, 18" Alloy wheels, LED puddle lamps, LED Tail lamps, gesture operated tail gate and electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof.
The interior gets a generous dose of chrome on the door sill inscribed with the word “Kodiaq”, door handles, instrument cluster rings, AC controls and vents, and on the headlight knob. The front seats are electrically adjustable and electrically adjustable lumbar support. The seats are in beige leather upholstery providing a premium look with faux wood trim on the dashboard and door panels. The Kodiaq also gets 10 color option ambient lighting, 3 zone climate control and an 8" touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It also gets a 575W 10 speaker Canton system for audio.
The Skoda Kodiaq scores high on safety features with 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System), Hands free parking, fatigue alert, ISOFIX child-seats, Parktronic sensors and speaker at front and rear, rear-view camera, ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), EDS (Electronic Differential Lock), TCS (Traction Control System) and ESC (Electronic Stability Control).
It is available in 4 colors — Lava Blue, Quartz Grey, Moon White and Magic Black and open for booking now with deliveries expected to begin in November.
