Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo launched in India

Skoda has launched the Rapid Monte Carlo Edition in India at a starting price of Rs. 10.75 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is available in 2 colours — Flash Red with Black roof and Candy White with Black roof.

This edition comes with a black front grille, quartz-cut headlamps with LED DRLs, black tailgate spoiler & diffuser, a black roof, 16-inch dual-tone black alloys, black ORVM housings and a Monte Carlo badge on the B-pillar.

On the inside, the sedan gets a black cabin, red & black leatherette Monte Carlo branded seats, 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, red stitching on the gear knob & the steering wheel, piano black interior décor on the AC vents & trim centre, new instrument cluster and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other features offered as standards include dual front airbags, ESC & Hill Hold Control on the DSG variant and ABS. Climate control with rear air-con vents, rear parking sensors, one-touch roll down windows with anti-pinch, cruise control, rear view camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, height adjustment for the driver & front passenger seats are also offered on the car.

This sedan is powered by a 1.6L MPI, petrol mill making 103 BHP & 153 Nm of torque which is paired with a 5-speed MT or 6-speed automatic and, a 1.5L TDI, diesel engine churning out 109 BHP & 250 Nm of torque which is paired with a 5-speed MT or a 7-speed DSG.
