Skoda will be launching their first ever 7 seater, the Kodiaq, in India on 4th October 2017.

Skoda Kodiaq

This SUV is based on the MQB platform which supports the Volkswagen Tiguan. It measures 4697 mm long, 1882 mm wide, 1676 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2791 mm. The company is yet to reveal the variant line-up and the features offered on the SUV. But the top end variants alone could be equipped with dual zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, LED headlamps, LED taillights and other.

The Kodiaq will come with a 2L TDI diesel making 143 bhp and 340 Nm. Skoda globally offers a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DSG as the transmission option. We expect the same engine to be offered in India along with an All Wheel Drive system.

The Kodiaq will compete with Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner and might be priced around INR 30–35 lacs making it costlier than the Tiguan.
