As we get the first week of the last month of the year done with, it’s time to recollect on the vehicles which have brought us immense joy, happiness and most important of all, money.

Some changes in our list include a dominating majority of Maruti Suzuki but then again, that seems to be the whole of India. The car at #1 is one that was launched only a couple of weeks back but gained traction like a Land Rover on a rocky road.

Among some of the honorable mentions which came close to making the list were the Ford Freestlye and the Hyundai Verna, but as the real world teaches you soon enough, numbers matter. Let’s get into it without any further ado and check out this week’s #CarPalTop5!

Our #CarPalTop5 of the week

1. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The newly facelifted, better spaced, 2nd gen Ertiga takes our #1 spot this week. Not only is it equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the Heartect platform it is based on gives the car a whole new dynamic. A family car, it is.

2. Maruti Suzuki Swift

Swift is the word we’d use to describe the sales of this car over the past 7 days. With a big checkmark in the fuel efficiency category and arguably the best maintenance network, giving this car #2 is being unjust.

3. Ford Ecosport

Not a big surprise to see this compact SUV at #3. As Economical and Sporty as the car may be, it’s evergreen diesel engine has customers falling for it, faster than Marilyn Monroe. The EcoSport competes with the WRV and the Nexon and some would say. it’s winning the race.

4. Maruti Suzuki Baleno

It’s kinda romantic to see a person say to another “You’re the apple of my eye”. Well, that’s exactly what Maruti Suzuki is saying to this car considering the sheer number of people who’ve bought it. A very smooth CVT system and Maruti’s maintenance network place the Baleno at #4.

5. Honda WR-V

The Honda WR-V is a new addition to our lineup but distinguishes itself in its very own way. The 1.2L 90HP ivtec petrol engine gives enough of a driving experience within city limits and the sunroof is a marketable point against other SUVs on offer.
