Volvo XC40 gets 2 new variants

Two new variants — Momentum (base level) and Inscription (top end), for the Volvo XC40 have been introduced. The small SUV is already available in the R-Design variant.

The top variant gets electrically folding rear seat headrests, driftwood inlays for the interior, crystal gear knob, chrome components for the exterior, front grille with a different design & finish, charging point in the boot and a 6-spoke diamond cut alloys.

Common features available are 8 airbags, pilot assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, traction control, hill-descent control, ESP, blind spot warning and lane keeping assist.

The features offered in the mid-level and the top end variants include 9 inch portrait oriented touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, wireless mobile charging, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a powered tailgate and heated front seats. The base variant gets only the infotainment system and standard cruise control. All the 3 variants come out with an 18-inch alloy wheels.

It is powered by a 2.0 L, 4-cylinder, diesel engine, producing 190 HP and 400 Nm of torque paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Momentum — INR 39.90 lacs

R-Design — INR 42.90 lacs

Inscription — INR 43.90 lacs

Bookings for the new variants are open and set at INR 2 Lakhs. Delivery is expected to commence by the end of August.
