How often have you been told to behave yourself while on a school/college excursion? The common reason for this being that our behavior there reflects on the entire school. Well, looks like ever since a certain Ratan Tata took over Jaguar — Land Rover and turned it around (to not only a profit making enterprise, but also with desirable new models such as the F-Type and the new Range Rover), the Brits like the way we do stuff! Why else would the labor union, Unite give their recommendation saying that M&M is a better partner than InvestIndustrial, the other folks contending for the iconic 007 status symbol.

Unite is the sole union for the entire workforce at the England plant of Aston Martin. Representing over 1800 workers, Unite recently spoke to the Economic Times confirming that they would indeed prefer Mahindra rather than some Italian folks.

Well, I said it before and I’ll say it again. If M&M go through with this deal, then a certain UK based motor journalist will be saying the following:

The worlds best car maker, Jaguar, is owned by an Indian.

The worlds best SUV maker, Land Rover, is owned by an Indian.

And the worlds best supercar maker, Aston Martin, is owned by an Indian.

Well, well.
