🍽吃希臘菜配 希臘神話 啤酒 Tasted Mythos Beer with Greek foods at Opa Greek Taverna, Taipei

雅典奧運前,全家人一起去過一次希臘,那時還用德克馬而非歐元作為貨幣,回憶最深刻的是,母親把吃不完的希臘烤雞,拋給帶頭的野貓,希臘貓老大立刻用兩隻前爪拆解,咬住自己要的部分,再把剩下部分丟給其他貓。
I’ve been Greece once with my family before Athens 2004 Olympic games.
I was particularly struck by those Greek cats efficiently handled the chicken leftover from my mom. It seemed to me that’s my mom’s happiest hours to share her foods with those cats.
不過,希臘夏天有完全無法從美麗照片裡想像的特質,比如那種會趁著天海湛藍掩護的乾熱,會從身體裡擠出水份,那時喝希臘神話啤酒配希臘串燒,幾乎喝不出苦味,好像所有灌進喉嚨裡的啤酒都是甘甜的。
Greek Summer is totally different with Taiwanese Summer. You could feel no humidity like Taiwan in Greece. It seemed to me that all Mythos Beer into my throat turned to sweet taste.

在台北的歐帕希臘小館,喝希臘神話啤酒配希臘串燒,在台灣濕熱氣候下,味覺不一樣,希臘神話啤酒的淡苦很明顯,而且其實調味很道地的希臘串燒,嚐起來更淡,還是適合夏天,但感覺上沒有在希臘吃那麼甘甜。
And the sweet taste didn’t come alone with Mythos beer to hot and humid Taipei. Opa Greek Taverna did a good job to serve the original Greek Souvlaki. But there’s some difference to eat in Greece.

倒是純素的蔬菜捲餅凸顯了台灣蔬果清甜的優勢,跟希臘神話啤酒的淡苦搭配得很平衡。
But the vegetable gyro matched Mythos beer with a great balance between a bit bitterness and sweet from Taiwanese vegetable.

希臘神話啤酒是希臘第二大啤酒廠,2008年後被納入嘉士伯啤酒集團下,金融海嘯後就不深究了,值得一提的是在台灣喝到的希臘神話啤酒是酒精度4.7%的海外版,在米克諾斯島喝到的希臘版則是酒精度5%。
Mythos Brewery is the second largest Greek brewery, best known for its Mythos brand also a subsidiary of Carlsberg since 2008. Mythos is a light straw-coloured, lager beer introduced in 1997. The alcohol content is 4.7%. The alcohol content in Greece is 5%.
關於米克諾斯島,雖然村上春樹《遠方的鼓聲》把希臘海島冬天寫得很無情,但一輩子還是應該去一次,看著湛藍,可以無限延伸腦海的地方。
Mykonos is definitely a Must-Go-Once place in a life time where you can extend your sea in your brain into a blue of infinity.
暫時沒法去,就喝點希臘神話啤酒,吃點希臘菜吧。
If you could not go at once, having some Greek foods with Mythos Beer would be fine.
