🍱🐟漬小魚乾配角搶戲,尾道車站便當 古早味 Sauced Dried Fishes enhanced Ekiben Lunchbox of Onomichi Railway Station,Japan

吃過不少日本鐵道便當,大部分極盡所能用當地特產,把主菜做得很有特色,但尾道車站便當,是個令我印象深刻的意外。

I had a lot of Japanese railway lunchboxes, and most of them did their best to use local ingredients and made the main dishes very special.

However, there was an exception that impressed me at Onomichi station.

尾道車站便當,製作者是成立於1890年的浜吉,外包裝上可以看到單色水墨畫的古意。

Onomichi Station lunchbox, the producer was founded in 1890, Hamakichi, you can see the old-fashioned monochrome ink painting on the packaging.

不過,打開這個便當,品嘗每道菜時,卻發現所有調味都很淡,燒魚、炸蝦、玉子燒等,都能吃出主廚那種「深怕多放一點鹽就會破壞食物本味」的想法。

However, when you open this lunch, savor every dish, but found all the seasonings are very pale, broiled fish, fried shrimp, Tamagoyaki, etc., in the lunchbox that you could imagine that the chef scared to put a little more salt will destroy all the original flavor of all ingredients.

然而,掩蓋在便當主菜底下的小魚干,改變了一切,好像一個深藏不露的武林高手,既不拔劍,也不出手,卻突然發出金針,打破了平衡。

But the sauced dried fish underneath the lunch dish changed everything.

It was like a martial arts master who was not exposed. He neither pulled his sword nor took a shot, but he suddenly threw a tiny golden needle and broke the balance.

我跟老婆用非常慢的速度咀嚼了很久,還是分辨不出醃製這個小魚干的甘露有幾種層次。

I chewed the dried fish slowly with my wife, still cannot tell how many levels of flavor in this sauced dried fish.

不知不覺間,所有清淡菜色突然有了更深的顏色。

Unconsciously, all the light dishes suddenly had a deeper color.

好厲害的小魚干,好精彩的提味配角。

The amazing little-dried fish was a wonderful supporting role enhancing this lunchbox.
