Concept Importance

We live in a technical virtual world where we are able to communicate through our current context technological platforms. This can include social platforms or services platforms. As a group we looked at how in today’s world human interaction is not taken into account it has faded through the use of technological use to live. By so doing we have unwillingly alienated ourselves without notice. We find it hard to express ourselves in physical confrontation, we deal with loneliness and feel the need to belong because we now find it hard to interact with other people around us. People create online profiles and be whoever they desire to be because the online platforms are able to give access to such creations of virtual belonging. The current pandemic has forced upon us the AI (Artificial Intelligence) the use of technological use can be manipulated to accommodate humanity and belonging through the correct uses of the this resources by the users. That yes, you can still belong even virtually, that users can still be able to interact with others with the use of this platforms.

Creating space of belonging and countering alienation through technology

Social networking. Notice how much today we as users interact with our phones every minute. The idea behind our focus on how to create the space of belonging and countering alienation is very detailed easy to understand and follow. We looked at our current way of living lately. What are our new hobbies? Our new sense of belonging? How do we want to still belong? How do we communicate with our families and friends? All gamer’s have one thing in common. Gamer’s feel the need to compete, well that is the gaming spirit of course but it isn’t like old times were friends gather around a Pac man Arcade Machine. Gamer’s turn to virtual reality. The incredible experience, the look and feel of basic physical ability and dominance in gaming. It is a straight forward fact that not all this gamer’s come from the same backgrounds. Some feel the need to belong in this virtual worlds but sadly just cannot afford. Some feel the need to meet new people through games like at the arcades but sadly cannot be able to travel.

Our social network is a domain hosted network by arcades located through the gamer’s google current location. The network is used by gamer’s to interact with other gamer’s in the comfort of their homes. The idea is to keep the experience of the arcade intact but the interesting feel of actually belonging into a virtual community through the use of VR. The users can create new groups in which other users can choose to join through the use of Profile Bio matching this includes similarities in user characteristics such as: Gaming genres, Favorite Games, Location and interests. Gamer’s engage with the arcade developers to be able to book an experience, be in touch with the latest VR gaming to stream and be able to download for free and play at home. It is a fun part of filters were your able to be anyone through the use of creating your own avatars. By playing more, having more game’rs joining your meetings the user can able to unlock the latest avatars and even be able to upload and share he/her VR games to the joint users in the community. We feel by so doing users can now be able to join communities, be able to share with one another the most interesting games, Message each other and keep the conversation going through the social network hosted by the selected arcades. We feel our social network really does create a space of belonging and really avoid them feeling alienated by its use.
