This year end review was written in 2014

For me, it was a year of death and a return to a life overflowing with joy that I have not ever known in the past. I continue on the path to better physical, mental, and emotional health. Around me, fellow travelers are justifiably despondent over the happenings in the world: unrelenting pain inflicted by humans on each other. Humbly, this is the lesson I have brought back from the other side of dying: first keep my own little part of the Universe authentic and pain free, allowing my own good vibrations to flow to those who are around me, supporting and carrying others

when I am first able to do this for myself.

Perhaps humanity is on the verge of a transformation of consciousness, a radical jump in evolution, a societal awakening. And these atrocities are the last vestiges of holding on: to what is familiar, to what is known but destructive, to the power inherent in unjustified wealth.

Death is a part of Life, at least as we know and experience it in this world, so I do not mourn so long that it prevents me from living the purpose of my life. There is the magic of goodness and caring everywhere, all around us. “Find the helpers” as Mr. Rogers said, “do not be taken by what the photographers frame for you. Look outside the frame”.

Find the helpers. Find the magic.

I am sending each person who is reading this the most loving compassion I am capable of, and wishes for self-care and safety, especially tonight, when not all you meet on the road may be as loving and safe as you would wish them to be. (Stay away from drunk drivers). Let us continue to transform our lives in the coming year. Magicians willing, I’ll see you around the bend in 2020.

To know where you're going find out where you've been. I strive to be joyful. I read. I write. I’m grateful.
