Square Enix is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII and the 30th anniversary of the franchise with a new teaser image from the upcoming remake of the most famous addition to the franchise.

The new key visual shows protagonist Cloud and main antagonist Sephiroth over a backdrop of Midgar, the central city of the game.

Square Enix is usually very quite about the remake, and this is the first update we’ve had in a while. Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4. It will be published in an episodic format.

Kingdom Hearts, Square Enix’s other big project with no clear release date since we’ve been waiting for the third installment since forever, updated its Twitter account with a amazing tribute to FFVII:
