This is the eighteenth in a series of written interviews with thinkers, artists, activists and other luminaries around the world, people whose life’s work resonates with our founding principles.

Our friend Rosie von Lila is one of the most uniquely feathered, elegant and sparkling people you will ever encounter. A polished, diplomatic advocate and negotiator, and highly organized finance executive who gets it done gloriously, Rosie recently served as interim CEO of New America Alliance. Rosie has also contributed to and created in various capacities, such as Cultural Relations Maven, at the Burning Man organization for more than half of her life.

A serious reader of books, Rosie and I discussed political, racial and gender equity, her involvement with
Partnerism, and our best possible future celebrations. Rosie lives in Dumbo, Brooklyn with her hunnie David and their lovebug chihuahua named Cassius Clay.

GP: Where did you grow up and where do you find yourself today? What do you love most about your neighborhood?
