Our new friend Chloé Valdary is an American writer and entrepreneur whose company ‘Theory of Enchantment’ teaches social and emotional learning in schools and diversity and inclusion in companies and government agencies.

GP: What matters most to you in this world right now and why is it so important?

CV: I think that to a certain extent, people are losing their capacity for joy. There are lots of dire issues to tackle including Covid-19 and its knock-on effects (rampant unemployment, poverty, social isolation, and loneliness) as well as the fight for racial justice that has swept our nation, but in order to do so we can’t lose our capacity for joy.
