An invitation that made my day
I was invited for lunch by a friend and had a lasting impression. It has created special memories for me.
A friend invited me for lunch. I was very reluctant to go as I was rather busy that day. However, I received a call after call from friends urging me to change my mind because they would all be there and it would be pleasant to meet everyone.
When the host called me again, I told her that I was rather busy. She told me that other friends were all going to be there and I should change my mind.
I told her that I would come for some time because she had made a call again and had me feel so special that I could not refuse and all the other friends were joining in too.
So there I was, I had changed my mind and decided to go. As soon as I entered the gate some friends greeted me and hugged me as we were meeting after a long time.
The host came out greeting us warmly with rose petals and a lovely smile on her face. She went out of her way to make the greeting special, it showed that she cared, and was happy that we were there.
