A Medium Least Read Story Game #11 (July 2024)

It’s the CLAPPING FOR THE UNDERDOGS game.

We all have some stories here on Medium that are underloved and underappreciated. I have my own list of stories that only have one or two comments or claps, and that’s it. They’re lonely. At the bottom of the pile. Sometimes the stories end up there because we were new to Medium and had very few followers when we posted it. Sometimes, for some reason or another, it just ends up dropping from sight once we hit ‘publish’.

Here they are …. Our Underdogs. Our stories that would like a little extra love.

Those of us who wanted to play the game submitted a story that we’d like to see get a little extra love. We agreed to go read each other’s stories.

We’ve got a good turnout this month with lots of participants. I’m glad to see that. I also realize that this makes for a lot of reading and some people can’t make the list in one day or one sitting. I know when we do this it usually takes me about three days to get through the whole list. So, we all won’t see a huge increase in one day, but hopefully over the next three to four days we all see an increase on the stats of these older, forgotten languishing stories.
