Dear Writer — Your Readers Should Not Know So Much About You
Or should they?
When I started writing, I always needed to figure out who to turn to or who to show me the way. All I had were my friends here and the one who had given me the gift of writing.
One year down this tiny road of writing on the internet, I met a reader who knew too much about me.
Right after our encounter, I couldn't but imagine what other information would be out there if I lived till the year 2050 while still writing on the internet.
- Maybe a stranger would quickly locate me.
- Maybe my kids would know what happened to their dad in 2023.
- Someone may reference this article, too.
So, I dare to ask you:
Dear writer! Should your readers know everything about you?
The reader who knew too much
It wasn't such an awful incident at the end of the day. But the realization that someone could quickly look me up scared me.
Thanks to this platform's perfect domain authority, you do not have to do so much for your name to pop up on Google.
