Let’s hold on to each other,
a lifeline in the storm.
Not when skies are clear
and the world is warm,

But when thunder roars
and lightning splits
the night,
When shadows creep and
hope recedes from sight.

Let our hands intertwine,
a fortress against fear,
A silent vow to be
always near.
When roads diverge and
destinies unknown,

Let our hearts find solace,
a home truly grown.

We’ll weather the tempest,
side by side we’ll stand,
Our spirits entwined,
a band.
Through darkest hours,
our love will be the light,
Guiding our way through
the darkest nights.

No matter the challenge,
we’ll face it as one,
Our unity forged,
till life’s journey is done.
With courage as our shield and
hope as our art,
We’ll keep each other close,
right from the start.

The poem, “Let’s Hold On to Each Other,” seeks to explore the enduring nature of human connection, particularly in the face of adversity.

The free verse form is employed to mirror the unconstrained and often chaotic nature of life’s challenges.

The imagery of a storm is used metaphorically to represent life’s trials, while the act of holding on to another serves as a symbol of resilience, support, and shared vulnerability.

The poem aims to convey a message of hope and solidarity, suggesting that through mutual reliance and empathy, individuals can weather any storm.
