The sounds of flowing water or a gentle waterfall are incredibly relaxing. I feel my stress levels melting away whenever I listen to them.
It takes me back to my childhood, a simpler time with memories of listening to the pitter-patter of rain through open windows and the earthy smell of petrichor afterward.
For eight months of the year, it’s heated where I live, with windows tightly sealed against the cold. Spring brings the sounds of rain, but opening up the windows often leads to a sneeze fest thanks to the pollen dust, and in the summer, the AC is blasting on pretty much everywhere you go.
One way to enjoy the relaxing sounds of flowing water or gentle rain year-round is to have a water fountain in your home or listen to them through an app.
