Patrick Pierce, You’re in the News Again
For all the wrong reasons, sorry
I’m sure LaVar Burton didn’t know what he was in for in his very first appearance as a rotating host of the popular TV quiz show Jeopardy.
He was going to be witness to a record lasting until this day. On Monday night June 24th the nearly three-year-old record was in jeopardy of being broken.
It wasn’t.
The mild-mannered product specialist from Fountain Valley, California remains supreme.
I’m not sure he’s happy about it.
You see: Patrick Pierce holds the record for having a negative money total in the 40 plus history of the long running game show.
Patrick’s final score of minus $7,400 broke the previous Jeopardy record earned by Steven Hull all the way back in 2015 — a minus $6,800.
With now permanent game show host Ken Jennings smoothly running things on the evening of July 24th Erin Buker, a stay-at-home mother from Pasadena, California, had a “day to forget” according to an interview with the New York post.
“My thumb had a mind of its own,” Buker revealed.
“It was my deficit and I own it entirely!” she added.
