Years ago, my husband and daughter shared a magical night at her elementary school’s daddy-daughter masquerade dance. It was a memory that still makes us smile.
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. My husband was set to leave for a business trip the very next day. If the dance had been just one day earlier, he would’ve missed it. But luckily, everything aligned, and they got to enjoy that special evening together.
The dress code was festive, and my husband went all out. He wore the tuxedo he’d recently purchased for black-tie events for his company. There was a live DJ. They spent the night dancing and laughing, caught up in the fun. Twirling around in their fancy outfits, they were completely in the moment.
Sure, there were snacks and drinks, but the real magic was in the memories they created.
