Wrath
A poem
Wrath, a force that’s fierce and wild
A tempest of emotions, untamed and wild
It burns within, a raging fire
Consuming all, with its vengeful desire
It starts with a spark, a tiny flame
But soon it grows, with no one to blame
It feeds on hurt, on pain and hate
And leaves destruction in its wake
With every beat of an angry heart
Wrath takes over, tearing us apart
It blinds our eyes, clouds our mind
As we lose control, in its bind
We lash out with words sharp as knives
Inflicting wounds, that may never heal in our lives
We seek revenge, we crave for blood
Our thoughts consumed by this destructive flood
But in the end, what do we gain
From this wrath, that causes so much pain
Our hearts are heavy, our souls are scarred
And the ones we love, are left battered and marred
So let us learn to tame this fire
Before it consumes us, in its burning ire
Let love and forgiveness be our guide
And let go of wrath, before it’s too…
