Falsehoods or Untruths can undoubtedly cause a whole lot of problems. Integrity or a lack of virtue can also be problematic in relationships. The ability to live and let live is necessary to see, taste, smell, perceive, and hear without fear or self-recriminations. Compassion for your life and the lives of others is fundamental to having a great relationship.

Relationships of all kinds are naturally challenging because people are different. We are not carbon copies of each other. So, it takes courage to embark on a relationship with another person. There must be a willingness to be available and caring to get to know someone. Sometimes, being open to others can be painful. A person’s desire to be open requires allowing yourself to be vulnerable, which is not always received with kindness, causing you to omit some information about who you are to the person you want to have a trusting relationship with. An omission about an essential detail in your life can be perceived as a lie once revealed. Unfortunately, this misinformation is the beginning of a problem in your relationship that did not need to exist between you and the other person: an unnecessarily painful experience.
