There are many things we can do in this world. Maybe it’s for living, or just for fun. Anyhow, we all are doing something.
Blogging is one of the most famous things everyone wants to do but faded away with time. Some think blogging is dead since video is more prominent these days.
But, blogging is still alive and has never been better — and will last until the curiosity lives in humanity.
In fact, blog writing is getting better and better, opening new opportunities to earn revenue, develop professionalism, self-growth & incredible number of other things.
Through this article, we will discuss, why you should write a blog & 13 reasons to prove its worthiness.
1. You will earn money (a lot)
Blogging is one of the most profitable niches an individual can try starting with no money at all. You just need something that can type, an internet connection, and a mind that can think.
But what you will get out of it? 100% profit. If done right, you can even earn thousands of dollars. You will never have to search for a boring job working 9 to 5 anymore. The blog will feed you well.
That being said, if you wanna start blogging, but have no idea how to start one or what to do, refer to my beginner to pro lesson series.
2. You will become an Expert in the field
When something is done again and again, it will be absorbed into our lives, and we will become the pros or the experts of those.
Over time, you will become a person that other people feel secure and are willing to accept and follow what you are saying.
It will grow up to a level that some will give you extra money to seek your guidance in that field — opening you a new opportunity to become a mentor.
3. More opportunities will come to your doorstep
As I mentioned above, when more people need your advice, you could start mentoring them for money. Hence now people have seen your skills and trust you, they will spread the good word about you among their peers — making your revenue even higher.
Furthermore, other creators will recognize your talent and may invite you to be a guest on their channels, or they may request the opportunity to be a guest blogger on your blog.
As a result, you’ll receive more backlinks from your loyal readers, other popular bloggers, and even from reputable company pages.
The outcome will be a potential doubling or tripling of the organic traffic to your website.
4. You will be your own Boss
What’s more better and satisfying than working on your own course — without any strings attached? You can end your 9–5 job when the blog starts to show off.
Then you are your own boss. You can decide what to do or when you are going to do it, when to take a rest, and where you are going to write the next article.
Maybe it’s on your comfortable bed or could be on a beach with a satisfying wind breeze. The choice will always be yours.
5. Improves your writing skills
Blogging will obviously improve your writing skills. It is no secret. What’s important is even if you are not a writer at all (As I was back then), time will make you a good writer.
What happens when your writing is getting better? You will earn more money. It is as simple as that.

But I did learn. Leveled up my confidence.
6. Blogging will Increase your confidence
When you begin a blog, you demonstrate your ability to take action and showcase a certain level of expertise. And that makes you a confident person.
You will gain the ability to share your knowledge in a room of people as you never did before. Because you know what you are talking about. You know your strengths and you know your weaknesses. So, your voice will be louder.
I remember when I first started writing on a blog. I wanted it to be the perfect article. I spent a lot of time perfecting it. But what happened to that perfect article when it was online? No one even looked at it.
Blogging was enough for me.
Fortunately, I never stopped. I learned over time. I developed my confidence. So you can do it too.
7. It will teach you how to face problems
Oh! It’s not a smooth path to travel. It’s an ocean to cross with high tides. And you are given only a boat to begin with. Make sure to build a ship bit by bit. Otherwise, you have to remain at shore.
Indeed. It’s not easy. You will face many ups and downs along the way to be a blogger. Technical errors, Legal issues, others trying to pull you from your leg (It happened to me. Rather not say who did it), and many more.
- One time I faced an ads.txt not error and I found the solution.
- Google AdSense ignored me to exclude some areas.
- Google Search console refused to index my pages due to 404 not found errors.
But I faced everything. Researched through every possible article, and guide and found ways to correct them.
Even more, I created my own guide explaining all. So, you won’t have any trouble on your way.
8. You will develop an amazing community around you
It’s a very beautiful feeling to know you have friends across the sea. A stronger one than Facebook or Instagram does. You will meet a like-minded community just like you who loves the same as you do.
The time will make your community bigger, yet closer. Believe me, there are many great humans in the world. Who is willing to have a good friendship with thousands of social media followers. You will meet some. And you are very much welcome to connect with me over the LinkedIn.
Let us be friends.
9. Improve time management
Time management was not my thing at all. there were times I submitted my University assignments 12 seconds before the deadline. Yet somehow blogging changed it on me.
Now I have a set schedule for writing, publishing new articles, and even updating older ones. The same thing will happen to you. Because you will understand the first principle.
10. Get donations
You have seen it right. Donations. Maybe you have made someone’s life through your work and they are thankful for it. And they are thinking of a way to show their gratitude.
Toss up a donation link and give them a chance to help you as they can.
And yes. You can donate to me right here.
11. It will improve your tech skills
I knew nothing about writing or doing a blog before starting one — except for university assignments using Microsoft Word. Now I know many things. How to write, What to write, What people love to read, and What to do when some error occurs.
I love that experience.
You will have to go through a lot of tutorials, error guides, how-to videos, and other blogs to survive. Survival will teach you many lessons.
Bonus: It is Fun. Not boring
And finally, you should definitely start a blog because blogging is incredibly fun! It will not bore you. Even more, it will surprise you when the money starts to flow.
There may be good days and bad days, but the good days far outweigh the bad ones. Plus, there exists no job that will pay you for enjoying your real life.
Happy blogging.
