How TIME elevated my confidence (quite literally)

Tick. Tick. Tick.

Time flies. It runs. It walks. But it is not the fastest thing ever… because speed itself is a measure of time.

The only thing that is irreversible is time, which makes the whole world irreversible. We all wish to time travel someday but travelling in the past seems fauld as time cannot be brought back.

And if you want to travel in future, you need to run faster than the time itself which is again not possible.

Time is directly proportional to changes, negative, positive or even neutral and there’s a whole subject dependent on it, i.e. calculus.

Time runs at a speed of one second per second (lol). Nobody can accelerate or decelerate it.

One interesting thing is that time is proportional to changes, though it itself is unchangeable.

Okay now, hear me out.

If the information given won’t require any time to travel, what will be the consequences of it?

Give a literal 5 minute thought to it.

This was a question asked to us in the 8th grade by a guest lecturer at a science centre I used to go to. The lecture was about cosmology as far as I remember. We were given 5 minutes to think over the question and answer. With trembling hands and a shaky voice, I gave the following answer:

“If no time is required for the information to travel, time simply won’t have any importance. For example, if a guy shoots a target, provided this condition, the target would hit the bullseye even before the person pulls the trigger or A child born will grow old and die in that very instant. Past will never be remembered, future will never exist. The only that will exist is present and that won’t matter at all.”

“This is what I wanted to listen to.” said the lecturer. He said that this was the basic idea of the theory of relativity.

Trust me I never knew (know) anything about it except the fact that it was proposed by Albert Einstein.

I was the most silent one in the class. Answering a question was far behind, I was scared to even look at the lecturer who taught us.

It was the first time I had dared to answer in front of everyone. The class felt pitch silent while I was delivering my answer. Though I was stuttering a lot, I felt proud of the lecturer’s words while others stared at me, turning their heads behind me.

I felt what I had never felt before. I felt strong. I felt intellectual. I felt intelligent. But most importantly, I felt confident.

It was the very moment I felt that I was capable of doing great things.

And it was only because I initiated a change within myself

Here lies the key to being confident.

If you want to become confident, initiate a change.

Take that opportunity and devour it. Do not think about the results because they are none of your business.

Seize every chance you get and make the most out of it.

Due to the courtesy that time has granted us, we have neither the past nor the future. What we have is present.

Through the present, we can initiate changes and as explained earlier, time is proportional to changes you will see a straight line on the graph of your progression.

Therefore, go ahead and take no step backwards. The more experienced and ‘used to' you become, the more confident you grow.
