I always wanted to have my own publication (in my own domain) — and I have done that. You can write there too.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to read this article. If you don’t know me, I’m Dumindu Patabandi, and I will be the editor of this publication.
I’m going to accept anyone who loves to write to my new publication, Good Writer.
Before anything, I think it’s better to tell you what this blog is about and why I created it. I was not a good writer quite a while ago (Maybe I’m now or trying my best to be). But I had that interest one day I will be a writer and tell whatever comes to my mind.
One day, I started being one. I converted everything that came to mind through my fingertips into a story. I wrote about life, technology, and funny things that happened in my life — more than I could remember.
And I got banned on Medium due to a guideline issue. But I never stepped. Here I am with the same energy to write — with more experience. Now I’m writing about one thing. How to be a good writer.
I know there are many publications on Medium, some of which have over 100k followers. However, they may not be for everyone, as beginner stories are rarely accepted by these major publications. That’s why I created this.

- Tell you how to create your own blog one day
So, any beginner is welcome here.

You are more than welcome my friends. You will be our mentors here. Everyone will look at your stories and will learn how to actually write. They will take you as their inspiration. Everyone will learn.

I’m a beginner. How to learn writing?
Don’t worry. We all are beginners at some point. Even the George R.R. Martin who wrote one of the best novels on Earth. They can write, so you will be too.

Are There Any Rules I Should Worry?
No. Rules are not something to worry about. We just have to go with them. But they are really simple.
📃What we accept. (Draft or already Published.)
- It doesn’t matter whether you have a draft or already published story. You can submit both types here. If you know the best time that has worked for you, just publish it and then give it to us. Or give us the draft version. We will publish in the best time.
🤔Can I use AI for Writing?
No, and yes. We don’t want to be too restrictive about AI writing. But you will never learn how to write if you constantly use it. If you are really out of ideas and want to use it, anyway, please give it a heavy edit before submitting it.
Usually, people don’t like to read robotic texts.
✅Please Check the grammar.
Here is your first lesson. Writing is not all about writing down your ideas. They have to be readable to others. Otherwise, they will skip to another.
Just use Grammarly or any tool you like. You can use the “improve the writing” tools too.
One more thing (It’s important)
