Plastic is everywhere. Just look around you. It seems so essential in everyday life, one might assume that it was around since forever.

Sadly, this wonderful material is also one of the worst human-created environmental disasters of our times. Plastic is overused and produces waste in amounts of millions of tonnes per year.
