Ever heard of a newspaper agent go online? That too on an app?

It’s a reality. LV Enterprises is a local newspaper agent in Bangalore and he’s now online on the Goodbox app.

Owner of LV Enterprises

Before Goodbox app

They used to go house to house to over 460 houses every month. They’ve heard all kinds of creative excuses to delay their payments. If a customer doesn’t pay up in that first run of collection, they have to make more rounds. There are cases where customers haven’t paid them for 6 months straight.

After Goodbox app

LV Enterprises decided to take his payments online using the Goodbox app. He created his mini-app on Goodbox with a simple payment collection module and informed his customers that they could now pay him online. A majority of his customers are now paying him online. As soon as their bills are available, they get notified and they pay their bill within seconds.

He’s saved the trouble of visiting 450+ households every month, multiple times. Consumers have the ability to pay him without him being physically pestering them to do so. They don’t need to have cash at hand. A win win for everyone.

Goodbox is changing the lives of many such traditional businesses that never went online. Not only are they going online, but they are getting an app presence on the Goodbox app. An unimaginable thing even for large brands. Creating an app could cost anywhere between 10 lakhs to a crore, depending on the complexity. And this doesn’t include the cost of marketing it. Leave alone the unwillingness of consumers to download multiple apps for multiple things.
