A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported GoodDollar on Celo during the Real World Build round on Gitcoin Grants GG21!
Grateful for the 81 donations that raised $561, contributing to a total of $4,819.97 in cUSD matching funds!
The matching funds and contributions will be used to double GoodDollar transactions on Celo, with a goal of reaching 50 million transactions in the next 6 months! Our aim is to partner with other impactful projects and dApps on Celo, empowering 343,000 GoodDollar members to fully explore and unlock the ecosystem’s potential for real-life impact. Committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive in this growing ecosystem!

2. Celebrate GoodDollar’s 4th anniversary launch on September 7th🎉
This September, GoodDollar proudly celebrates 4 years since the official launch of the GoodWallet and the GoodDollar protocol! With over 800,000 members worldwide, users can now claim and use their G$ to explore two vibrant ecosystems: Celo and Fuse.
✨ Some Key Milestones in GoodDollar’s Journey
2020: Launched the reserve-backed UBI currency, deployed the G$ token, and launched the GoodWallet platform.
2021: Launched GoodDollar Protocol V2, introducing the governance model, DAO, and an interface for easy interaction with the Reserve.
2022: Launched GoodDollar Protocol V3, establishing the GoodDollar Community Fund and G$ savings.
2023: Deployed GoodDollar on Celo, quickly becoming one of the most used projects within a day.
2024: Launched GoodCollective, a climate finance dApp built on Celo, thanks to a grant from Climate Collective.
To date, GoodDollar is the most active protocol by users on Celo💙

1. GoodDollar Academy by GoodDollar Moderation Team
- The GoodDollar Community Moderation Team has launched Module 6 and Module 7 of the GoodDollar Crypto Academy! The GoodDollar Crypto Academy initiative is designed to empower the GoodDollar community with the essential knowledge and tools to thrive in the dynamic landscape of Web3!
- Module 6 dives into the various types of Web3 wallets, highlighting the key differences between hot and cold wallets.
- Module 7 breaks down the distinctions between DEXs and CEXs, making it easier to understand their differences.

2. GoodDollar University talk by GoodDollar LATAM
Daniel, GoodDollar’s Ambassador lead in LATAM, hosted a university event to discuss and showcase the power of Web3 and GoodDollar UBI.
3. GoodDollar Cameroon speaking at in the Afro Wb3 Babi Event and Blockchain in MBOA event
Cyrille, GoodDollar’s Ambassador in Cameroon, represented GoodDollar at the Babi Online Conference, an event focused on promoting Web3 among French-speaking audiences across Africa.

Cyrille also took part in Blockchain in MBOA, an in-person event in Douala, Cameroon, where he discussed how GoodDollar and Crypto UBI can serve as the gateway for people to access DeFi.
